He addressed the demands of MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli for the closure of the DEM party.

"Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç spoke about the investigations against members of the DEM Party. Minister Tunç emphasised: 'There is no place for violence in democracies and terrorism will not be tolerated. If you strain the nerves of the people, you will face an investigation. The DEM Party could be closed down if it continues to support terrorism." he said.
