AMED TIMES - Municipal inspectors to investigate the allegation of 'flag removal' have arrived in Diyarbakır. The inspectors are expected to visit the municipality and conduct their investigation.
It has been alleged that Serra Bucak and Doğan Hatun, co-mayors of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM), who won the Diyarbakır Municipality elections and took office, did not raise the Turkish flag at their first municipal council meeting after taking office. Following this allegation, the Ministry of Interior has deployed municipal inspectors to investigate the matter.
The inspectors will conduct an investigation at the municipality.
It is expected that the civilian inspectors who arrived at the Diyarbakır Governor's Office will begin their inspections related to the allegations today with a visit to the Diyarbakır Municipality.
