AMED TIMES - The Diyarbakır Bar Association has called for the disclosure of the truth on the occasion of the anniversary of the 1915 events.
The Diyarbakır Bar Association, which has faced investigations and lawsuits in recent years for its statements on 24 April, has also issued a statement on the events of 1915 this year. The statement emphasised that Armenians were exposed to one of the greatest disasters in history on 24 April 1915.
The speech should be without the word "BUT".
The declaration contained the following expressions: The words "Fermana Fila, File hemû qirkirin," which we often hear from our elders, vividly show what the Armenian people have experienced in all aspects in the lands we inhabit. It is necessary to first learn about the pain in history and then pay respect to that pain. It should be spoken without the word 'but' and the emotions should be shared by facing the truth and acting with a restorative sense of justice. Deportation, genocide, massacre, slaughter... Regardless of which word one chooses, anyone who wants to stand by the truth knows that the road is long and full of obstacles. Denial is the most comprehensive, effective, enduring and widespread violation of human rights.
